The Impact of New Information Technologies WWW site was put together during the month of April 1994 by students in Howard Besser's Impact of New Infomration Technologies: Multimedia and Networks course (UC Berkeley Library & Information Studies 296A).
The team responsible for this included Francois Chew, Brian Hoshi, Greg McKean, and Helen Yoon. All students in the class provided information to this team and the class as a whole discussed policy issues (ranging from access to design to privacy). Generous (voluntary) assistance was provided by Ken Lau of the campus Instructional Technology Program. Greg McKean worked during the summer of 1994 to clean up and improve the WWW site, and Eva Garcelon provided occasional assistance during this period. Howard Besser set up the section for the Fall 1994 class.
